Biography

Serenah was born about 1745. She was the daughter of Elizabeth Abel. She passed away after 1788.

Serenah was the mother of Betty, James, Hardy, Jacob, Huel, and Sall.

She was living in Bertie County on 30 Mar 1767 when her "mulatto" children James and Hardy were bound out. In May of 1788 she was complaining to the court about the indenture of her daughter Sall to John Bosman.
