I have not ever seen her name as Mabel. Could you provide a source for that name?

For how many people is this profile their touchstone of ancestry across the Atlantic?

My error. I was looking at two Different Anderson entries and conflated them. Mary who married Malachi Rhoades was daughter of Richard Carder not Robert Abell. Ugh. Sorry folks. That's what I get for working on two PGM folks almost simultaneously.

Anderson (GM Vol 3, p 9) says that Mary, daughter of Richard Abell married in Warwick Malachi Rhoades on 27 May 1675, citing RI VR Vol 1, Warwick, p 153... No mention of Samuel Luther.

EDIT: I'm thinking this is a case where Anderson might be wrong. (I've caught a RI-related error of his before.) She would have been in her 30s-- a bit late for a first marriage.

EDIT2: OR she was a widow at the time of her 1675 marriage to Rhoades.

Abell-1228 and Abell-6 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents, same birthdate and place. No sources show specific death date on -1228. Death date on -6 of "after 1718" is supported by sources on -6. Please merge.

Found this NEHGS article on Abell ancestry that is interesting [1]

Either Mary Abell Luther died far after 1663 or she is not the mother of the children attributed to her. The eldest, Samuel, was born in 1663 and the youngest, Martha Luther Cole was born in 1681.
