Rufus was born in Georgia in 1924.^[1]

In 1924^[2] he was living in Rome, Georgia.

By 1940^[3] he was living in Hamilton, Tennessee.

Rufus was married when he enlisted in WWII on January 16, 1943.^[4]

He was killed on June 9, 1944 and is buried in Normandy, France.^[5]
