In 1901, John, age 63, a Farmer, was Presbyterian and living in Durham, Ontario. He immirated in 1890 from Scotland. [11][12]
James was living with his son, John, and his family in Durham, Ontario in 1911.[13]
He passed away on November 26, 1924 in Darlington, Ontario[14] and is buried in Bowmanville, Ontario[2]. He was a farmer and a widower at the time of his death.[15]

Abernethy-800 and Abernathy-1282 appear to represent the same person because: Last Name should be Abernethy as seen in earlier sources on Abernethy-800, as well as on Find a Grave Page, which has newspaper clipping when he died.
