Biography

Private Alan Abernathy served in the United States Army in the War of 1812

Alan was born in 1777. He was the son of Charles Abernathy and Elizabeth Harwell. Alan fought in the War of 1812 with the Davis' Battalion, West Tennessee Militia. [1][2]

He married Susannah Abernathy in 1812. [3]

Alan passed away in 1838. [6]
