Biography

Darius was born about 1824. He is the son of Nathan Abernathy and Eve Cline. He passed away in 1904. ^[1]

Darius, age 46, is shown on the 1870 U.S. Federal Census in Polk Township, Montgomery Co., Arkansas with his wife Sarah A., age 35, and their three children, Philip V., 8, Mary A.A., 5, and Sarah A.L. Abernathy, age 10 months. ^[2]

In the 1880 U.S. Federal Census, Darius, age 56, is shown with his wife Sarah, age 44, in South Fork Township, Montgomery Co., Arkansas. His occupation is listed as farmer. In addition to Darius and Sarah, their children are listed as Philip, 18, Mary A., 16, Sarah, 10, William J., 6, and James Abernathy, age 8 months. ^[3]
