Biography

James Abernethy is a member of the Abernathy Name Study Project.

James Abernethy was born on January 01, 1857 in Gaston County, North Carolina, United States.[1] His parents were Miles Abernathy and Elizabeth Rankin.[2]

He married Sarah Gregory on December 23, 1877[3] Together they had 6 children:

  1. Minnie Abernethy[4]
  2. Julia Abernethy[5][6]
  3. Lucy Abernethy[7]
  4. Robert Abernethy[8]
  5. Miles Abernathy[9][10]
  6. Claude Abernathy[11]

He died on February 03, 1920 in North Carolina, United States.[12] He is buried in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Alexis, Lincoln County, North Carolina, United States.[13]
