Biography

Alexander Able was born about 1777 in Maryland. He married Mary Day Lindley in 1807 in Oxford, Warren, Ohio. They had nine children. Mary Day Lindley (1789 PA-bet. 1840 and 1850, Iowa or Illinois), was the daughter of Isaac Lindley and Abigail Day, who married on 21 February 1789, and had eleven children. [1]

This family tree shows that he was born about 1777 in Westmoreland, Pennsylvania. He married Mary Day Lindley, and had two daughters, Abigail and Harriet. He died about 1819 in Ohio. [2]

Alexander Able and Mary Lindley were married on 29 October 1807 in Warren County, Ohio. G. Harlan, Esq. officiated. [3]

In the 1880 Census, his daughter, Abigail (Day) Lindley, stated that both her parents were born in Maryland. [4]
