Mrs. Begley lived at Gays Creek, KY and taught school at Buckhorn Grade School, for years. She moved to London, KY after she retired.
Begley, Iona Abner:
Iona Abner Begley, age 84, of London, KY (formerly of Gays Creek added by author ), died Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Hazard ARMC. She is survived by one daughter, Janice Baker; one son, Donnie Jack Begley; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Engle Walker Funeral Home of Hazard, KY, in charge of arrangements. Place of burial June H. Jett Cemetery in Gays Creek, KY.
It seems that Mrs. Begley was adopted, after both her parents had passed away.
