Biography

Reuben was born in 1805 in in Ellington Connecticut. He is the son of John Aborn and Sarah Russell. [1]

He married in 1836, Amelia Peters, a native of Pennsylvania (or possibly Rhode Island). Their children include

  1. Alonzo Reuben., born 1837, d 1910
  2. Mary A., born 1838, m William Kibbe, d 1869.[2]
  3. Livonia V., born 1842, m E. Gerry Warren, of Auburn, Mass., d 1894.
  4. Sarah Emerline., born 1849, m Daniel I. Kelly, of Auburn, Mass.
  5. Franklin C., born in 1854, died in 1865.

Reuben. Aborn purchased, in 1846, what was known as the Ebenezer Learned farm, in North Oxford, Massachsetts., and upon it built a new house. This farm later became the property of Capt. Stephen Barton, father of Miss Clara Barton, of Red Cross fame, who for many years resided on the place. He was a farmer, and was also engaged at lumbering.[3]

He died in 1875 and was burried in Oxford.[4][5]
