She married Walter Wood on 31 December 1914 in Queensland.[2]
Ethel died on 26 September 1936 in Redfern, New South Wales aged 42 years.[3][4] Ethel is buried in Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park, Matraville, New South Wales. [5]
