Biography
Newton was born in 1862. Worked as "Overseer" of the L.W. Floyd Plantation, in Whitmire. Woodmen of the World (WOW) Furnituremaker. First wife, Sallie Amelia Elmore, died young, age 36, of heart disease. Later, he married Verona Salter on December 28, 1910. Newton P. Abrams died in an accident on the farm about 3 weeks later, January 20, 1911, the result of blunt force head trauma.
