Biography
Married: In Montreal on 2 June 1903 to Rosamond Helen HOWELL (1884-6Oct1964), daughter of Cyrus Ryerson Howell and Mary Elizabeth Hendricks.
He was living in Montreal about 1898 as Lovell’s Montreal Directory list him as living at 51 Crescent and working as an insurance agent. A Douglas Acer, traveller, is listed in the 1906-07 directory. Shortly after his marriage it is claimed that he returned to the Bay of Quinte and he and his new wife lived on land left to his wife by her family. The death registration mentions that he resided at the place of his death for 20 years.. His occupation in the death registration is given as a contractor.
2nd child: Margery Acer m. Francis Winter. Issue (a) Rosamond Winter, died at age 11.
