Biography
Immigration: 1844 She contracted typhoid fever on the ship and barely recovered. She entered through New Orleans and went to St. Louis where she met and married Herman Henry Knapheide in 1847. They moved to Quincy, Illinois in 1848.
Event: Miscelaneous decendant - Bud Knapheide lives in Quincy, Illinois. Also, Ruth Slacks, of Quincy ( Rte#2, 4106 24th St.), is a great, granddaughter of Johann Heinrich and Catherine. Immigration - additional. Thought to have traveled to the United States with a sister who died at sea.
