Sorry to hear you are not wanting to give Wiki a chance as it does take a while to learn ones way around. All of us at Wiki would be more than happy to help you in any way possible. It looks like you where doing good and had posted your tags and volunteered.
I received your message and below is a link on how to use WikiTree as well as a link to how to remove / delete your account.
You are now a confirmed member of Wikitree. Thank you for volunteering.
Our G2G Forum is the hub of our communication. Pop in when you have time and introduce yourself or ask a question, we all love to welcome a new member :)
If there is something you are having trouble understanding or you need additional help learning how to use WikiTree, you can always contact a mentor.
Both G2G and mentors are accessible through the Help drop down menu top right of your page. There are also useful tabs at the top of your profile.
Hello Kathy, and welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site youve ever used.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!
When you confirm your email address, youll have an opportunity to become a member of WikiTree. Just add a Tag for each family surname or location you are researching. Then click the Post Tags and Volunteer button. (information on Tags can be found at http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Tags). One of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership.
WikiTree is an exciting and growing community and we are really glad you decided to join us.
We've got a challenge focused on the Acheson surname this month: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/436439/august-surname-spotlights-challenge-acheson-downing-callis I noticed you follow "Acheson" and thought you might want to come check it out. Abby
Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Just for fun, come and join in on our Question of the Week: Any tidbits of information you've discovered to pass down to the next generation? Happy researching!
