Biography
James was born in 1817 in Weare, New Hampshire to Charles Baum and Polly (Montgomery) Achilles, their second child. The family moved to Potton, Quebec by 1820. In 1840 he married Rachel Emery and they would have nine children. He passed away in 1878.
