On August 22, 1948, Virginia married Irving G. Welsted in Rhinebeck[9].
Virginia Hermans Ackert Welsted (93) passed away on October 31, 2013, in Mount Holly, Burlington, New Jersey and is buried in Brig Gen Wm C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, Burlington, New Jersey[10].
