Harry was born on the 15th May 1871 in St Germans, Cornwall, the son of Thomas Ackland and Joanna (Lewis) Ackland, and he was christened on the 15th May 1881 in Linkinhorne, Cornwall.[1][2][3][4]
1881 Census on the 3rd April 1881 Harry was living at New Houses, Linkinhorne, Liskeard, Cornwall with his parents Thomas and Joanna, and his brother John.[5]
1891 Census on the 5th April 1891 Harry a railway porter, was boarding in St Winnow, Bodmin, Cornwall.[6]
Harry married Ellen Fisher and the marriage was registered in the 4th quarter 1894 in Bodmin, Cornwall.[7]
1901 Census on the 31st March 1901 Harry a railway signalman, was living at St Winnow, Bodmin, Cornwall with his wife Ellen, and their children Thomas and Ida.[8]
1911 Census on the 2nd April 1911 Harry a railway signalman with Great Western Railway, was living at St Winnow, Bodmin, Cornwall with his wife Ellen, and their children Thomas, Ida and Harry.[9]
1939 National Register on the 29th September 1939 Harry a widower, was living at 19 Grenville Road, Lostwithiel, Cornwall.[2]
Harry died aged 78 in 1949 in St Austell, Cornwall.[10][11]
