Biography

The daughter of Hezekiah Ackley (1763-1816) and Jemima Whittlesey (1765-1835), Eliza Ackley was born in Washington Township, Connecticut in 1802.[1] Her siblings included:

  1. Leman Ackley (1787-1834)
  2. Abigail Ackley (1789-1862)
  3. Chester Ackley (1794-1862)
  4. Mary Ackley (1797-1797)
  5. Ansel Ackley (1797-1869)
  6. Martin W. Ackley (1800-1801)
  7. Clarissa Ackley (1806-1845)
  8. Hezekiah H. Ackley (1807-1892)
  9. Frances Ackley (1812-1888)

Eliza Ackley married Isaac Patterson, marrying in Washington Township on September 12, 1820[2] and having seven known children together. They made their home in Washington Township.[3]

Eliza Patterson passed away in Washington Township,Connecticut[4][5] at the age of 57and is buried at New Preston Village Cemetery in New Preston, Connecticut.[6]
