Sarah Ackman was born on 16 Jan 1837 in Woolwich, Kent, England. She was the first child of eleven children of Emanuel Ackman and Rachel Harris. [1]
At age 10 in 1847 she emigrated to Australia on the ship James Dean with her parents and four siblings, arriving in Victoria on 20 Jun 1847.
In 1853 Sarah married Michael Samuel Levy in Victoria, Australia.[2]
Children: Samuel Michael, Emanuel, Sarah Ailcey, Rachael, Elizabeth Leah, John, Fanny, Hannah Kate, Ailcey, Henrietta Amelia, Abraham Emile, Henry Carlton, Alexander Jacob Conway.
In 1856 Michael Samuel Levy (Auctioneer) and his family lived in Kardinia St, Geelong, Victoria. [3] He died in 1894 in Sydney, New South Wales.
Son Abraham Emil Levy passed away in 1896, aged 22 in Newtown, New South Wales. [4]
In 1914 Sarah Levy (Home Duties) and Henrietta Amelia Levy (Home Duties) lived at 101 Gheringhup St, Geelong, Victoria. [5]
Sarah died on 18 Aug 1916 in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. [6] She was buried on 18 Aug 1916 at the Geelong Eastern Cemetery. [7] [8]
