Biography

Eilzabeth was born about 1838. She was the daughter of Lewis Acree and Mary Cleek. She passed away after 1880.

Elizabeth Acree appears on the 1880 U. S. Census in Roane County, WV, Walton District, in the household of Frances (Acree) Paxton and her children George T., Lyle, and Henry.^[1]

Elizabeth Acree (age 77) appears on the 1910 U. S. Census, ^[2]Jackson County, WV in the household of her cousin Robert R. Riley, his wife Norma, and their five children. Elizabeth could read and write.

This Robert was the son of Robert Riley (Sr.) who had taken Elizabeth in when she was a young orphan. She now returned to stay with her younger Riley cousin late in life, having never married or had children.
