Albert Florino Acri was born in Lower Swatara Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania on 6 May 1923.[1] He was the son of Antonio Acri and Fortuna Biasi.[2]
Albert Acri served in the United States Navy in World War II Service started: 14 Jan 1944 Unit(s): USS Ringness Service ended: 8 Feb 1946
He served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1944-46. He was assigned to the USS Ringness (APD-100), a Rudderow Class Destroyer escort, in the Pacific Theater. This ship participated in operations throughout the Pacific Theater, including the assault on Okinawa in April-May 1945.[3]
After he completed basic training, but before shipping overseas, Albert married Mabel J. Fisher in Harrisburg on 11 March 1944.[4]
He died on 19 January 2010 in Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.[2]
