Biography
Leontine Acuff was born on June 20, 1909 in Grainger Tennessee. Her parents were John Acuff and Jocie Beeler.[1] [2][3]
Leontine grew up with the family of D. Frank Hendley, [4] and supposedly did not find out (according to family history) until the age of 69 her father was (Alex)Acuff, and her mother was Jocie Beeler.
She was 14 years old, going by the last name of "Hendley" when she married 19-year-old Huey Hobbs on May 03, 1924[5] The marriage license required the name of her parents, and they were given as T. F. and Josie Hendley.
She died on April 20, 2004 in Knoxville Tennessee[6]
