Gloria (Acworth) Lax was born in Queensland, Australia
Gloria Merle was born in Queensland, Australia. She is the youngest daughter of Arthur Herbert Acworth and Jeannie Annabella Anderson and was born on 3 April 1929.
Gloria Merle was the youngest of seven children; only the first four have birth records in Queensland. Her siblings are: Arthur Allan (born 1909); Ethel Lavina (born 1910); Jean Olive (born 1915); Herbert Douglas [Bert] (born 1919); Mervyn Cleo (born 1921) and Harold Keith (born 1925).
Gloria Merle married Norman Victor [Norm] Lax on 26 August 1950 at the Methodist Church Hemmant, Brisbane and they had two children named- Allison Merle Lax and Robyn Michelle Lax. Birth dates unknown.
Gloria Merle (Acworth) Lax died in October 2011 in Queensland and she was cremated at Charters Towers. Her ashes were interred at Hemmant cemetery, Brisbane on 29 October 2011.

Sister Jean O [Jean Olive] is buried at Hemmant cemetery; her name on the same Headstone as parents. That confirms one of Merle's siblings born 1915 and also confirms parent's names. Jean's Find a Grave MEM ID 138870316 End Lewis-34981
