She was the daughter of Louis Acworth and Emma Abbott. Alice Clara is recorded with her parents on the 1861, 1871 and 1881 census. She did not go to Australia with her father and brother but remained in England with her elder sister.
Alice Clara married[2] Cornelius Hilliard Fairbrass in Croydon in January 1881. There are no records of children.
Alice Clara (Acworth) Fairbrass died[3] at Cleveland Road, Torquay, Devon on 9 September 1929.
Her Will[4] records that she was living at Stratherne, Cleavland Road, Torquay as a widow. She died 19 September 1929 at Torbay Hospital, Torquay. Probate to Emma Eliza Clara Finnissy.
