William Acworth was born[1] Feb 1774 in Chatham. He was the son of James Acworth and Elizabeth Dawson. William Acworth was baptised[2] on 27 February 1774 at Chatam: St Mary the Virgin.
William Acworth is on the voters roll for Rochester in 1836 .
Catherine died in 1834 and William married[4] again to Mary Hudson at Maidstone on 7 January 1837. They did not have any more children. Mary died in December 1878 at Medway.
In the 1841 Census[5]William Acworth (age 65) is living with his second wife Mary Hudson (age 50) at Gillingham, Chatham, Kent.
Death
William Acworth died[6] 5 June 1849 in Medway. He left a very detailed will[7] that runs to many pages and requires transcription. His death at 75 is noted in a local news sheet[8] and his address is shown as 'Hall Cottage", Luton, Chatham, Kent.
