Adair John W, about 79 (b. 2-1-1868), a lifelong resident of Noble Twp and Wolf Lake, died Jan. 11, 1948 at his home. He is survived by his widow, Ella Knapp Adair; a daughter, Mrs. John Delbert Earnhart; three sons, Don of South Bend, Merle and Joseph N. of Albion; and six grandchildren. He served two terms - 1918 to 1924 - as a member of the Noble County board of commissioners. He was a member of the Ormas Baptist Church for many years where services were held Tuesday.
