Delbert was born in 1890 in Utah. He married Sarah Kershaw on 17 Mar 1914 in Cache, Utah. They had a family. In 1930, he said that he was a stock man. Delbert died in 1971 and is buried with his wife at Kaysville City Cemetery, in Kaysville, Davis County, Utah.

Death Takes Sheepman, Civic Leader
LAYTON-Dell H. Adams, 81, of 600 West Gentile Street, died Thursday evening in the stockyards in Evanston, Wyo., of a heart attack.
He was born Oct. 21, 1890, in Layton, a son of Hyrum and Annie Penrod Adam.
He married Sarah Kershaw, March 17, 1914, in Layton. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Mr. Adams was a well-known sheepman who had run large flocks in Box Elder County since 1906. He was a past president of the Utah Woolgrowers Association and had been president and director Utah Livestock Producers Credit Association. He was a director of Utah Grazing District No. 1.
He had appeared as Jim Bridger in the Ogden Pioneer Days parades for 35 years. He had served on the first Layton City Council and had received the Layton Community Service Award for 1971 by the Layton Chamber of Commerce. He had served as president of the Davis County Wildlife Federation.
A lifelong collector of pioneer relics and Indian artifacts, he had a private museum in his home collected over a period of 78 years. He was a hunting enthusiast.
A member of the Layton 4th LDS Ward, he was a high priest.
Survivors include his widow; five daughters and two sons, Mrs. Stanford (Josephine) Van Fleet, Mrs. Mary Adams Warren, both of Salt Lake Cilry; Mrs. John (June) French, Livermore Calif.: Mrs. Ned (Rebecca) Nalder, Mrs. Pauline Hill, Dean Adam, Mark Adams, all of Layton; 26 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren: three brothers and four sisters, Frank D. Adams, Clay Adams, Blain Adams, Mrs. Eugene (Blanche) Reed, all of Lavton; Mrs. Lloyd (Birdie) Udy. Rockand, Idaho; Mrs. Bessie Grove, Los Anqeles: Mrs. Joseph (Bonnie) Kesler, Salt Lake Ciiy.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1p.m. in the Layton 4th Ward chapel, 225 Park St.
Friends may call at the Lindquist Kaysville Mortuary Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Monday until 12:15 p.m.
Burial will be in the Kaysville-Layton Memorial Park.
