Clayton was born in 1910, the son of William S. Adams and Alice Ross[1] He married Margaret White in 1934[2], the marriage ending in divorce. He married Helen (Trimble) Mitchell in 1947 at Oakland, MD.[3] Helen died in 1952. He married Dorothy Hood in 1953.[4] He is found in New York in the 1940 census[5]He moved to Philadelphia after 1940.
Clayton died in 1961 in Philadelphia, PA.[6] He is buried in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Philadelphia.[7]
