Samuel is the youngest child of Johnathan Wallas Adams (1857-1941) and Emma Elizabeth Beals (1860-1929). He has 4 brothers and 2 sisters, Arthur, Jessie, Goldie, Sylvia, Clarence and Charles. He was born and raised in Clarion County, Pennsylvania.
He registered for the draft June 5, 1918[1].
Private Adams died of disease November 3, 1918 .[2]. He is buried in Oise-Aisne American Cemetery and Memorial in Fere-en-Tardenois, Departement de l'Aisne, Picardie, France [3]
