Biography

George Wiley Adams was born 27 Apr 1872 in Georgia, the son of Nathaniel Alphus Adams, Sr. and Julia Ann Davis Adams[1].

In 1880, he lived in Montgomery County, Georgia with his parents and siblings[2].

He married Clarissa Jane Calhoun on February 14, 1892, in Montgomery County, Georgia.[3].

In 1900, George and Clarissa lived in Mount Vernon, Georgia, with 3 children.[4]

In 1910, he lived with his parents, brother Nathan and his family and two nephews in Montgomery County Georgia. He was divorced[5].

He married Mary (Mollie) Mills before 1920.[6]

In 1930 they lived in Toombs County, Georgia.[7].

He appears on the 1940 census as head of household (widowed) with his children Homer, Herbert, Hubert, and Bessie[8].

He died October 21, 1947 in Montgomery County and was buried in Nabb Cemetery, Montgomery County, Georgia[1].
