William Riley Adams was born 10 September 1873 in Montgomery County, Georgia, the son of William Wiley Adams and Malissa Delma Peterson Adams[1]. In 1880 he lived in Montgomery County with his parents and siblings[2].
He died 3 February 1894 in at his grandfather William Riley Adams's grist mill. He was at the grist mill when the millstone exploded, a large piece shearing off and striking him in the face and head, killing him instantly. He was buried in Hamilton Hill Cemetery, Kibbee, Montgomery County, Georgia[1].
