Biography
Birth and Parents
John Adams was born in Connecticut.
John, the first son and second of nine children of John Adams and Esther Cady was born in October 1713 at Canterbury, Connecticut Colony.[1]
Marriage and Children
John married May (Mary) Parke 29 Oct 1735[2]They had at least four children:
- Deacon John Adams (b. 29 Sep 1736; d. 1793),[3]
- Mary Adams (b. 1737; d. 1817), m. say 1755 at Connecticut, Stephen Johns (1734-1805)
- Esther Adams (b. 1739; d. 1739),
- William Adams (b. 28 Mar 1741; d. 1779)[4]
Death and Burial
John Adams died on 8 October 1782 in Alford and is buried beside his wife in the East Road Cemetery at Alford, Berkshire, Massachusetts.[5]
