Eunice Adams was born about 1801 probably in Newburyport, Essex Co., Massachusetts, the daughter and only child of Robert Adams and Susanna (Little) Adams. [1] Her father died later that year (1801), and her mother remarried to John Coker four years later in 1805. [1][2]
Eunice may have married Royal T. Morse in Sutton, Worcester Co., Massachusetts, in 1825, moved to Groton, New York and had three children (Mary, Martha, and Tyler). It has not yet been confirmed whether this is the same Eunice Adams, however. (see Research Notes below)
Research Notes
Nothing more is known with certainty about Eunice Adams. We have, however, identified a Eunice Adams of about the right age who:
married Royal T. Morse (b. 12 Aug 1793, the son of Ezekiel Morse and Mary Tyler of Sutton) on 4 May 1825 in Sutton, Worcester Co., Massachusetts [3][4]
Royal T. Morse and Eunice (Adams) Morse moved to Groton, New York and had children: Mary E. Morse (b 12 Mar 1828), Martha A. Morse (b 15 Sep 1830), Tyler A. Morse (b 6 Feb 1833) [3]
Unfortunately, other than the similarity of age and being in Massachusetts, we have not yet found a link to confirm this is the same Eunice and the name Eunice Adams is not rare.
