Biography

James Adams was born in Townsend, Middlesex, Province of Massachusetts Bay on 15 Apr 1773 to Daniel Adams and Mehitabel Crosby. James married Sybel (aka Sibel & Sibbel) Gassett and had 3 children. Amos passed away on 8 Aug 1859 in Townsend, Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA.

Using only Vital Records from Townsend, Middlesex, Massachusetts ( on-line) source, more than 3 children are seen assigned to James Adams and Sibel. Because there is a Vital Records entry that indicates three children of James Adams and Sibel died as infants. That entry is without dates, but still tells the general fact.

On the birth side of Townsend Vital Records: 1.) Dolley b. 29 Dec 1803. 2,) Sebary b. 26 Feb 1807. 3.) Mitty b. 1 Jan 1809 4.) Rebeccah b. 1 Jul 1812.

On Marriage, Townsend Vital Records: James Adams and Sybil Gassett, intention to marry posted on 1 Nov 1796 and their marriage on 15 Dec 1796. Daughter Mitty Adams posted her intention to marry Asa Graham on 14 Feb 1824, and they were married on 23 Mar 1824.
