Gertrude Adams is an Indigenous Australian.

Minna Gertrude Georgina Adams. ^[1]. According to a great grandchild of Timothy Adams, Gertrude was the second child of Bessie Reeves, a sister of Esther Reeves, and his second wife, who had 4 children by him, Lewis, Gertrude, Julia and Arthur. Bessie was also of the Kaurna people. [See the full quote in Timothy Adams-26096 profile.] If correct, then Esther, Timothy's 3rd wife was not the mother of Gertrude. Bessie died in 1878 and he married Esther in 1880, who acted as the mother of his 4 children after Bessie's death from a measles epidemic. Lizzie Sansbury was Tim's 4th wife.
