When Mary Adams was born on June 13, 1812, her father, James, was 41, and her mother, Elisabeth, was 36. After her sister Anna died, Mary married her sister's husband, Jacob Himebaugh. They had two sons and three daughters between 1836 and 1847. She died on October 15, 1871, in Venango, Pennsylvania, at the age of 59, and was buried there.
