Jonathan was born to Jonathan and Mary Ellis Adams in Medfield on May 7, 1696. [1]. Their earlier son Jonathan had died two years before.

Jonathan Adams married Dorcas, daughter of Ebenezer and Hannah Mason of Medfield, presumably before the birth of their first child. They settled on the family homestead, in Medway.[2]

  • Dorcas, b. Dec. 4, 1717, married John Fisher in Medway on Dec. 9, 1736, removed to Medfield
  • Isaac, b. Oct. 15, 1719, married Lydia Fisk, in Medway, Jan. 28, 1741
  • Mary, b. May 6, 1722
  • Kezia, b. Jan. 1, 1725, d. June 18, 1733
  • Silas, b. Oct. 7, 1728, died three weeks later
  • Lydia, b. Sept. 9, 1731
  • Joel, b. Aug. 6, 1733, died the same day
  • Kezia, b. May 21, 1736, m. Deacon George Barber as his second wife, intentions posted in Medway, Mar. 23, 1760
  • Jonathan, b. Aug. 30, 1737, married Catherine Boyden, intentions posted on Medway Sept. 16, 1759, married in Medfield later that month

Jonathan died in Medway May 12, 1744. His widow Dorcas lived on until July 30, 1778[4]
