John Breed Adams was born in May 1793 in Lunenburg, Massachusetts. He was the son of Nathan Adams and Mary Pierce. ^[1][2]

In 1830 lived in Ashford, Connecticut. ^[3] In 1850 he lived in Eastford, Connecticut, his wife not with him and with two children. ^[1]
