Biography
Sarah was born in 1859, the daughter of George Adams and Sarah Ann (Lewis)
Sandhurst was renamed Bendigo in 1891
In 1871 she married Edwin Letcher in Victoria[1]
Her husband passed away in 1885 aged 38 years, leaving her with 5 very young children to raise.
Sarah did not remarry and passed away in 1932 aged 81 years[2]
Death notice: The Age (Melbourne, Vic. : 1854 - 1954) Fri 21 Oct 1932 - LETCHER. -On the 20th October, at 8 Withern Street, Sunshine, Sarah Ann, loving wife of the late Edwin Letcher, loving mother of Louisa (Mrs. Hollingshead, Sunshine), Fanny (Mrs. Kronk, deceased), Edwin (deceased), Esther (Mrs. Williams, Renmark), and Charles (Prahran), aged 81 years 7 months. Late of Eaglehawk.[3]
