Biography

Sarah was born in 1851. She is the daughter of William Adams and Mary Barton. Sarah was the second daughter to be named Sarah. She was baptised on 3 August 1851 at Marston Upon Dove.

Sarah remained in the family home until her late 20's. She worked as a Laundress and later a Domestic Servant.

On 22 September 1887 Sarah married to Benjamin Palmer at the Eggington Parish Church. Sarah was 35 and Benjamin 30. Witnesses were William Adams and Mary March.

Sarah and Benjamin settled in Hilton at Corn Mill Lane. Benjamin worked as a General Labourer/Farm Worker.

Sarah had just 1 child born in her marriage, Mary Elizabeth in 1892. Mary was baptised on 6 March 1892 at Marston Upon Dove.

Sarah ( Adams) Palmer died aged 58 at Hilton. She was buried on 3 October 1910 at Marston on Dove.

Benjamin and Mary Elizabeth moved back to Eggington after Sarah's death. 1
