Three Life Lease from Richard Keble

THIS INDENTURE made the fourteenth day of June in the twenty fourth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith et Annos Dei One thousand and seven hundred and fifty BETWEEN Henry Bedwell eldest son and heir of Henry Bedwell late of Eastleach Turville in the County of Gloucester Gentleman deied by Clara his Wife late called Clara Keble Spinster also deied of the one part And John Powell of London Gentleman of the other part WHEREAS by Indenture Tripartite bearing date on or about the Six and twentieth day of June in the eighth year of the Reign of his late Majesty King George the First over Great Britain et Annos Dei 1722 and made or mentioned to be made between Joseph Bedwell of Eastleach Turville aforesaid Gentleman and Mary his Wife and the said Henry Bedwell deied (brother of the said Joseph Bedwell) and Clara his Wife now also deied of the first part John Bedwell of Maysey Hampton in the said County of Gloucester Gentleman and Thomas Miller then of the same place Gentleman since deied of the second part And Thomas Bedwell then of the Powlton aforesaid Gentleman deied of the third part RECITING THAT WHEREAS on or about the Term of the Holy Trinity then last past before the date thereof the said Joseph Bedwell and his Mary his Wife and Henry Bedwell now deied and Clara his Wife in due form of Law did acknowledge and levy before his Majestys Justices of the Court of Common Pleas at Westminster or some other person or persons in that behalf lawfully authorized one Fine SURCONUSANCE DE DROIT COME CEO et whereupon proclamations were had or made according to the Form of the Statute in that case made and provided unto the said John Bedwell and Thomas Miller and their heirs or or to the Heirs of one of them OF ALL that Manour and Farm of Eastleach in the said County of Gloucester and of all and singlular the Rights Members and Appurtenances to the said Manour of Farm then belonging or in anywise appertaining or reputed known or taken as part parcel or member thereof then late in the possession or occupation of one Richard Keble Gentleman deied then late Father of the said Mary Bedwell and Clara Bedwell or of his Assigns or Undertenants . . . AND of the common of pasture for four Horsebeasts or Motherbeasts to be had and taken to go depasture and feed within the common fields and common downes of Eastleach Turville aforesaid Which said granted premise are therein said to have been then in the tenure or occupation of one Adam Adams his Assignee or Assigns by virtue of One Indenture of Lease bearing date on or about the five and twentieth day of January which was in the year of our Lord One thousand and six hundred and ninety one made and granted by the said Richard Keble the elder to John Adams Elizabeth his Wife since deied and Adam Adams their Son for the Term of their Lives successively under the yearly Rent of two Shillings
