Biography

Ida (Adams) Bunn lived in Appalachia, in Alabama.

Ida Evora Adams was born in September 1853 to Wiley Adams and Sarah Anne Elizabeth Tooks in Columbus, Georgia. [1]

She married George Godfrey Dougherty in 1870 in Macon County, Alabama. Their children were:

  1. James Godfrey Dougherty [2]
  2. George Mason Dougherty

In the 1870 United States Census, she is listed as living in the household of George Dougherty, her husband, in Baker Georgia. She is listed as 17 years old and George is listed as 32 years old.[3]

After her first husbands death, she marriedFranklin Monroe Bunn on April 21, 1892 in Macon County, Alabama. Some researchers show his name as Franklin Monroe Bunn. Their children were:

  1. Wiley Frank Bunn [4]
  2. Evora Zouline Bunn [5]

In the 1910 United States Cenus, she is listed as widowed and living in the household of James G. Dougherty, her son, in Precinct 8, Macon County, Alabama.[6]

She died, at the age of 69, on August 30, 1919 in Macon County, Alabama. She is buried at the Cubahatchie Baptist Church Cemetery in Shorter, Alabama[7]
