Biography

John was born in 1718. He passed away in 1781 in Fauquier County, Virginia.

After the death of John Adams, his eldest son John Adams of Charles County, Maryland entered into a series of indentures with several of his younger siblings, namely his sisters and brother Josiah. He was deeding the land bequeathed to them by the will of their father. The partitioning of the land of their deceased father included the land transferred by these indentures and land John had bequeathed to his younger sons. It was entered into record 27 May 1782.

John Adams
George Adams
James Adams

Adams-54248 and Adams-12706 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, same father, same dates, same wife

Again, it certainly appears that these two profiles are intended to represent the same person. However, sources should be developed and birth location confirmed prior to completing the merge.

A basic principle in WikiTree is that each person has only one profile. Otherwise you have chaos. Since these 2 profiles were intended to be the same person, they should be merged. Getting all the facts right is a separate problem. It may take years to determine where he was born, and it may never be possible. One solution is to leave the birth place blank and leave a note in the biography about where it might be.

Adams-29507 and Adams-12706 appear to represent the same person because: identical dates, however, there are no sources on either profile to assure that these are the same man.

DNa results do not connect George Adams husband of Sarah Proctor to the Fauquier or Fairfax Adams, or indeed any other family. The presumed haplotype is R1b1.
