On 02 Apr 1930 Jesse H. and Bessie B. Adams were still living in Vancouver City, now with three children: J. Donard aged 17, Stanley S. aged 12, and Norma J. aged 4.[5] Jess worked as a lather on various jobs while the rest did not (yet) work outside the home.[5]
Don attended the University of Washington[3] and then went to work on the construction of the Coulee Dam.[3]
He married June McDonald in Almira,[3] Lincoln County[6][7]

They lived in Almira as newlyweds.[3][8]

Don and June had three children before the marriage ended in divorce: Irene, Monte and Sally. See Family, below.
Don died of a heart attack following surgery[9]
on 15 August 1986[2][9]
in Alameda County,[2][9] California. He was buried at Mountain View Cemetery,[9] in Oakland, Alameda County, California.
ALMIRA Wash., Sept. 16.— The marriage of Miss June McDonald and Donard Adams took place Sunday at the home of Justice Carl V. Jensen. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George R. McDonald, who are prominent in local business circles. She was graduated from the local schools and attended Washington State college, majoring in music. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jess H. Adams, Vancouver, Wash. He attended the University of Washington, and is now identified with the reclamation bureau at Coulee dam. The couple will make their home here.

McDonalds Celebrate Silver Anniversary
A very happy occasion was celebrated Sunday, November 29th, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. R. McDonald when twenty relatives and friends gathered to help them celebrate their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. After greetings and congratulations were observed, the guests were seated at a long banquet table decorated with silver reindeer, chrysanthemums and a silver table lamp presented to them by friends. A delicious turkey dinner was enjoyed by all after which the relatives presented Mr. and Mrs. McDonald with a beautiful silver tea service.
A feature of the day was a shower for Mr. and Mrs. Don Adams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. McDonald. Mr. and Mrs. Adams received many lovely gifts.
It was a lofely gathering and a day that will long be remembered by the honor guests.
