Alexander's marriage to Margaret Lamb was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1882 in the Hartlepool district.[4] In the 1891 census Alexander (age 29) was in West Hartlepool, Stranton, Durham, England.[5] In the 1901 census Alexander (age 39) was in Chadwell Heath, Dagenham, Essex, England.[6] Alexander was initiated as a freemason on 20 Jun 1904 by the Lodge of Freedom in Gravesend.[7] Alexander was in a directory in 1905 in London, England.[8] In the 1911 census Alexander (age 49), Timber Expert, was the married head of household at 45 Dorset Road, Merton Park S W, Merton, England.[9]
