Beulah Adams was born in 1756 in Killingly, Windham, Colony of Connecticut, to Abijah and Mary Baker Adams.
She was mentioned in her father's 1805 Will as Beulah Slaughter. That means she was married to Silas Slater. By way of confirmation, her sister Anna is also mentioned in that will as Anna Slaughter, having married Silas's brother Abial. "Slater" and "Slaughter" were commonly used interchangeably in records of this family.[1]
Silas and Beulah settled in Foster, Rhode Island Colony. There they had:[2][3]
