Martha was born about 1753. She is the daughter of John Adams and Eleanor Powell.[1] Martha Adams married Thomas Dickson in Halifax, Virginia , on 20 December 1771. [2][3] Martha's mother, Elenor Adams, signed her marriage record to Thomas Dickson.[4] Martha died 1835 Halifax, Virginia, when she no longer paid her annual taxes on property she owned.[5]
