Biography

James Franklin Adamson and Vera Higdon, both of Kirk Colorado, received a licence to marry on 17 June 1935 in Kit Carson County Colorado. They were married the same day. Witnesses were Louis A Mace and Gladys M. Mace. Clarence L Magee, Judge, officiated at the event. The certificate was returned to the county on 18 June 1935. [1]

In 1940, Frank (40) was living on a farm in Precinct #19, Mesa County, Colorado, with his wife Vera (26) and son Donnie L (7). Frank completed schooling with the 8th grade. He was born in Oklahoma. On 1 April 1935 the family lived in rural Yuma County, Colorado. For the week of March 24-30, 1940, Frank was not working for pay in the private sector, however, he was working in Public Emergency work. Frank reported that he had worked 15 weeks in 1939 for an income of $195. [2]

In the 1940 census Frank was 40 and his son Donald was 7. Donald was 80 when he died according to his obituary. His parents had predeceased him. If Frank had lived until he was 80 he would have died in 1980, well before 2013.
