Biography

He went everywhere with his ex-wife Mary [Barnes] and her husband Gardner Wilson. Mary's brother Tom Barnes had a chicken farm in Imperial Valley (William went to southern California with his granddaughters during the Spanish Flu Epidemic). He died after he was kicked in the head by a horse. Marybelle fondly recalled that when she was a little girl, he once let let her eat a whole pie.
